2 Shift Pattern - Days and Nights rotating.

Week one : Monday - Thursday 4 x 10 hour days 6am - 4pm.

Week two : Monday - Thursday 4 x 10 hour nights 8pm - 6am.

Pay - Up to £22.60 Per hour.

Plenty of overtime opportunities and annual profit share bonus on top of your annual salary.

Due to major expansion with a brand-new factory, MTL Advanced in Rotherham are on the hunt for skilled and semi- skilled welders offering long term job security.

We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEM’s from leading industries including defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail.

Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.

We are on a recruitment drive for a number of experienced Welders to join our operations.

You will be joining our skilled team to perform welding activities on some of the UKs well known products, on a wide range of components in carbon steel, armour steel and aluminium.

You will master a variety of techniques and work alongside others to create finished products.

The majority of the work will be MIG welding where your dexterity and hand-eye coordination will help to make welds clean and precise.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium
  • Weld various joint configurations in all positions
  • Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements
  • Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
  • Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
  • Carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks and record the necessary safety checks
  • Ensure correct marking up of component parts
  • Ensure that the labelling system is adhered to

ABOUT YOU

  • Recent / relevant Welding / Fabrication Experience
  • Understanding of quality procedures and specific customer requirements
  • Ideally a coded welder
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
  • Proficient with metal fabrication tools
  • Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
  • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
