WEC Group is looking for an ambitious, driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join our busy and expanding team at Sherburn Metalwork.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing an established customer base, winning new business and developing long-term relationships within the competitive metal fabrication and engineering sector.
THE ROLE
You'll take ownership of business development across your territory, identifying new opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
You'll be responsible for
- Developing and growing an established client base.
- Identifying and winning new business through cold calling, networking and lead generation.
- Building relationships with decision-makers and senior-level contacts.
- Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations.
- Quoting for new customers and opportunities.
- Achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Producing accurate sales forecasts and reports.
- Developing regional sales strategies and business plans.
- Promoting Sherburn Metalwork's products and services, alongside other WEC Group divisions where appropriate.
- Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
You'll ideally have
- Proven experience achieving Circa £1m+ annual sales targets.
- Strong B2B engineering sales experience.
- Experience working within a medium-to-large welding/fabrication environment.
- A confident, commercially focused approach to business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication technologies.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
A welding and fabrication background would be advantageous but is not essential.
