WeBuyVintage provides a buying service for jewellery, antiques and vintage items enabling people across the UK to sell their unwanted valuables. We buy from the public either through over 180 roadshow events every month, making us the biggest roadshow operation in the UK. We are looking for reliable and trusted team players who are committed to seeing the company continue expanding and flourishing.
We are looking for a knowledgeable jewellery and antiques dealer/buyer to provide valuations and offers at our nationwide roadshow valuation events. You will love being front of house, talking to customers about their fascinating items, and buying directly from members of the public in wonderful villages, towns and cities around the country.
- Attend 3-4 roadshows per week as an expert and buyer.
- Roadshows can be based anywhere in the country (but typically within a 90 minute drive time) so an ability to travel is a requirement.
- Present a professional, informative and respectful demeanor with all customers - whether their goods are worth £10 or £10,000.
- Make an offer to buy the customers' items with the confidence and capability to negotiate if required.
- Work alongside multiple other buyers with a willingness to work together, learn from one another, and build a partnership that aids the closing of successful deals.
Who We Are Looking For?
- Keen interest in any of the following categories: Gold, Jewellery, Silver, Cameras, Binoculars, Toys, Costume Jewellery, Writing Instruments, Militaria and similar vintage specialisms.
- Experience buying and/or selling antiques and jewellery.
- A keen and commercially savvy salesperson and negotiator.
- Very personable, likeable and trustworthy.
- You must have a car and be willing to stay away from home when roadshow locations necessitate this.
Employment Information
- Variable days; typically 3 to 4 per week.
- Event hours are typically 10am - 4pm.
- Base salesperson salary of £30,000 plus uncapped commission with high earnings potential (average total remuneration in excess of £60,000).
- No fixed working location.
