About WeBuyVintage
WeBuyVintage is one of the UK’s largest buyers of jewellery, antiques and collectibles. We run more roadshows than any other UK company – over 250 valuation events every month – bringing trusted experts face‑to‑face with customers across the country. In less than two years, we’ve grown from a pub‑table idea into an eight‑figure business, and we’re on a mission to make WeBuyVintage a brand everyone recognises.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, you will be trusted to work autonomously to identify and execute high‑impact projects that deliver growth, profit and process optimisation, and cross‑business innovation. Working on a project‑by‑project basis, you will prepare robust business cases for your ideas, plan their execution, and actively deliver these projects up to the point of handover. This role is purpose‑built for a commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for a proactive problem‑solver – somebody who simply finds a way to “get things done” with minimal bureaucracy or hesitation.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identify, plan and execute growth initiatives: research and develop new business opportunities, including service expansion, strategic partnerships (e.g., auction clients), new product development and other business innovations.
- End‑to‑end project management: oversee key commercial projects from concept through to execution, working closely with the leadership team and the Projects team to drive measurable financial and operational results.
- Market and data analysis: stay ahead of industry trends, shifting customer needs and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and build airtight business cases.
- Business efficiency and optimisation: identify areas for process or spend improvement, ensuring we can scale each part of our business as profitably and efficiently as possible.
- Stakeholder management: collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth and successful execution of all projects.
- Reporting and handover: establish clear KPIs for all new initiatives, monitor their success and create structured handover processes for the wider operations team once a project is stabilised.
Who We’re Looking For
- Commercial acumen: strong understanding of business finance, profitability and what drives revenue growth in a consumer‑facing business.
- A self‑starter mentality with a demonstrated ability to take an idea from a blank sheet of paper to a fully operational reality.
- Analytical mindset comfortable working with data to build business cases, forecast outcomes and measure project success.
- Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and pivoting quickly in a high‑growth, fast‑changing environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven track record in project management, commercial strategy, operations or management consulting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from front‑line staff to external suppliers and company founders.
Desirable
- Experience of the antiques and jewellery industry.
What You’ll Get
- 4‑day working week (Monday to Thursday)
- Access to Bright Exchange – thousands of exclusive employee discounts and perks
- Employee Assistance Programme – confidential 24/7 support for you and your immediate family covering work, personal and home life matters
- On‑demand professional development – access to BrightHR’s online learning platform to build new skills and support your career progression
