As our Engineering Lead, you’ll be the creative force behind how the world sees and experiences WeBuild‑AI.

Role Overview

Lead and inspire our fast‑growing engineering organisation. Collaborate directly with customers and project teams to define innovative technology solutions, ensuring every engagement delivers secure, robust, and trustworthy AI‑assisted products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the technical aspects necessary to continuously evolve our internal AI systems/platform to support world‑class predictive business operations
• Architect, build, and deploy scalable AI‑powered and data‑driven digital products on AWS and Azure for diverse industries
• Partner with our customers from day one: help define their technology needs and design solutions that deliver maximum value
• Oversee technology delivery and customer engagements, setting the highest standards for product excellence, security, and responsible AI practices
• Lead and grow a talented, multi‑disciplinary engineering team, blending software, data, platform, and AI skills
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
• Define and refine engineering best practices—including code quality, DevOps, testing, documentation, and rigorous security measures fueled using agents and model context protocol capabilities
• Implement microservices architectures and manage robust relational and non‑relational databases
• Ensure our AI features leverage Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol, and other leading‑edge techniques—with a strong focus on safe and ethical deployment
• Stay current with the latest in cloud, platform, data & AI engineering practices to shape our evolving standards and solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• Led high‑performing technical teams in consulting or professional services—taking projects from inception to delivery, and beyond
• Full stack engineering leader with technical depth and outstanding communication skills
• Strong collaborator working alongside customers and cross‑functional teams to co‑create solutions that drive business impact
• Expertise in software, product engineering, security standards, and cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Deep understanding of embedding AI—bridging the gap from data to product, focusing on trust, safety, and scalability
• Proficient with microservices, APIs, relational and non‑relational databases
• Ability to operate at both C‑Level and as a hands‑on engineering figurehead
• Passion for leading, inspiring, and building diverse teams in a remote‑first environment
• Experience building modern software products using React, NodeJS, HTML, Typescript and Python
• Experience setting engineering standards for multi‑disciplinary teams and integrating CLI development tools using LLMs, and embedding DevOps tooling into AI chat experiences with tools like Miro, Jira, Slack and GitHub
