Our client is Britain's leading national grain marketing and arable inputs company, owned by approximately 4,000 British farmers. They are seeking a Trader or Junior Trader to join their established commercial trading team and help supply British grain to major UK food and drink brands.
Position Overview
You’ll manage sales and trading within global grain markets and food supply chains, forming strong internal and external commercial relationships. This role is central to supporting British farmers and the domestic food and drink industry through fast‑paced, dynamic trading environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales and trading across global grain markets
- Develop strong commercial relationships with internal and external partners
- Identify opportunities to meet business challenges and drive growth
- Navigate peaks and troughs of the trading environment
- Contribute to the commercial team's overall success
Requirements
- Prior experience in the agricultural industry or supply chain
- Previous trading or sales experience (desirable)
- A level standard education or equivalent
- Strong IT literacy: MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Office, Teams, Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self‑motivated and resilient approach to work
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
