Position Overview
You will execute commercial trading strategies, manage regional barley positions and maximise income through strategic sales. Your work will drive market intelligence across the business, support farm origination and manage futures hedging to protect company positions and deliver value for customers.
Responsibilities
- Execute commercial strategy and sales targets across assigned regions
- Manage regional barley positions and grade specifications
- Maximise income through strategic sales execution and pricing
- Trade futures markets as effective hedge mechanisms
- Drive origination activity with the farm business team
- Communicate market intelligence to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with trading policies and minimum standards
Requirements
- Proven trader experience or demonstrable sales background
- Strong commercial mindset with results-driven approach
- Excellent communication, numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with computer systems and software
- Experience in agriculture, supply chains or commodity trading (preferred)
