Our client is a well-established rural consultancy practice known for combining property expertise with strong client relationships and collaborative teamwork. They're seeking a Rural Surveyor - Associate to join their team and build your own client base whilst delivering comprehensive land, estate and farm management services.

Position Overview

You'll provide professional rural surveying and valuation services across land and estate management, farm administration, and development projects. This role offers the opportunity to establish your own client base while collaborating with an experienced rural team and contributing to the wider consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver rent reviews, tenancy setup and planning advice services
  • Manage farm and environmental grant scheme administration
  • Provide valuation advice and project appraisal to landowners
  • Support sale and purchase transactions for farms and land
  • Establish and develop your own client base
  • Collaborate with rural team and other departments
  • Support graduate colleagues through their APC training
  • Manage deadlines and workflow across multiple fee earners

Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree (2:1 or above) in RICS-accredited rural surveying
  • Full RICS membership with Registered Valuer status
  • CAAV Fellowship
  • 1 to 3 years post-qualification experience in rural land and property

Essential skills and knowledge:

  • Broad experience in property valuation, sales and project management
  • Proficiency with Office 365, Land App, Alto and STAR systems
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving approach with attention to detail
  • Client service focus and networking confidence
  • Proactive and professional approach to work
