We are seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Engineer on behalf of our client to support cutting-edge solutions for mission-critical systems. This role bridges technical expertise and customer success, delivering high-value solutions for complex, real-time software environments.

As the vital technical link between product engineering and customers, you will design proof-of-concept systems, advocate for product enhancements, and drive customer success in deploying innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop deep technical expertise in the company’s software platforms and embedded systems.
  2. Lead solution design and architecture consulting for customer projects and partners.
  3. Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept systems to highlight solutions.
  4. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, ensuring successful customer deployments.
  5. Advocate for customer requirements internally to inform and shape product roadmaps.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to embedded systems.
  7. Assist in professional services engagements, customer product training, and technical documentation.
  8. Support marketing through white papers, blogs, presentations, and event demos.
  9. Travel to customer sites as required.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems or field applications engineering.
  2. Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with device drivers.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux internals and RTOS.
  4. Hands-on experience with ARM, Intel x86, and PowerPC architectures.
  5. Familiarity with virtualization, hypervisors, and debugging tools.
  6. Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Strong communication and presentation skills for customer-facing engagements.
  8. Self-motivated and able to work independently without day-to-day oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  2. Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or safety-critical sectors.
  3. Proven pre-sales or customer support experience in complex embedded systems environments.
  4. Experience connecting embedded systems to public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
