Their Scottish banking & finance practice is well established and they work across borrower, lender and investor clients across a broad range of banking & finance transactions. They have an impressive client base and the team work on a broad range of high quality work. They have a strong plan to further grow the practice in Scotland and as such there will be a clear career path. The firm are well known as having a great working environment.
The Role
The senior associate will work with an impressive client base on a broad range of banking & finance transactions across corporate lending, leveraged finance, asset finance, real estate finance, project finance and invoice discounting. More specifically this will include:
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements and security documents (LMA and non LMA).
- Negotiate inter-creditor agreements or arrangements.
- Oversee any other matters related to live lending transactions.
- Mentor and coach junior lawyers and trainees.
- Get involved in the business development of the team.
You will be!
You will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Solicitor – Scottish qualified/Dual qualified (Scotland/E & W).
- 4+ years PQE working within the banking and finance practice of a commercial law firm.
- Experience of working on a broad range of banking transactions.
- Technically strong solicitor with excellent drafting skills.
- Strong client management and communication skills.
