Conekt Legal is working with a global organisation to recruit an In-House Employment Solicitor to join its legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a complex, international business, advising on a broad range of employment matters while benefiting from a flexible, remote-friendly working model. The role is based in Scotland, but applications are welcomed from candidates seeking remote or hybrid working arrangements.

The Role

As In-House Employment Solicitor, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused employment law advice to stakeholders across the business, supporting HR and senior leadership on both strategic and day-to-day matters. The role covers the full spectrum of employment law, including employee relations issues, disciplinary and grievance processes, restructurings and redundancies, TUPE, contracts and policies, and managing employment litigation with external counsel. You will work closely with international colleagues and external advisers where required. The role also involves supporting change projects, ensuring compliance with evolving employment legislation, managing employment risk, and contributing to the development of employment policies and best practice across the organisation.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Qualification as a solicitor in Scotland or England & Wales
  • Solid post-qualification experience in employment law
  • Strong technical knowledge combined with a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience advising stakeholders in a commercial or in-house context
  • Confidence working autonomously and managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • An interest in working within a global, matrixed organisation
