The Organisation

Our client helps hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering, and fundraising. They are now looking for a Special Purpose Fund Administrator to join them on a part-time, permanent basis, working 28 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring a minimum of two days per week onsite.

Working within the grants team, this role supports the effective management of special purpose funds (SPFs) – charitable donations designated for specific services across the organisation.

The Role

As a Special Purpose Fund Administrator, you will support the management of special purpose funds (SPFs), which contain charitable donations to support services across the organisation. Specifically, you will deliver high-quality administration and stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth SPF operations, working with finance systems, internal databases and staff to process payments, manage claims and support fund governance. You will also engage regularly with fund advisers, supporting compliance, sharing guidance and facilitating meetings and communications to help them make best use of their funds.

Additionally, you will:

  • Manage the SPF email inbox and act as first point of contact
  • Authorise reimbursements and process invoices in line with governance guidelines
  • Maintain accurate financial and SPF records across relevant systems
  • Support fund adviser engagement and assist with governance reviews and surveys
  • Provide administrative support to the Fund Engagement Officer and wider team

About You

To be considered as a Special Purpose Fund Administrator, you will need:

  • Experience of finance administration and invoice processing
  • Experience of managing data via finance systems and grants databases
  • Attention to detail and the ability to resolve errors swiftly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM databases
  • The ability to manage competing demands and maintain confidentiality
