About the Role

As the Research and Insights Manager you’ll build strong evidence on workforce needs, skills gaps and sector trends across land‑based and environmental industries. You’ll manage a portfolio of research projects and work with colleagues and external partners to deliver high‑quality, actionable insight that informs policy development, product design and external engagement. This highly influential role combines analytical rigour with real‑world impact and offers a strong development opportunity for someone keen to learn, grow expertise and demonstrate the impact of their work.

About You

We’re looking for a curious, analytical professional motivated by impact. You should enjoy exploring evidence, asking the right questions and turning complex information into insight that can genuinely influence decisions. You’ll comfortably work with both qualitative and quantitative data and explain findings to non‑research specialists. You’ll be collaborative and engaging, build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, and work across teams to ensure research is relevant, accessible and used in practice. You’ll bring a strategic mindset, spotting emerging trends and skills issues, while being practical and organized enough to manage multiple projects on time and within budget. Proven experience managing or delivering research projects, working with external suppliers or partners, and producing insights that inform policy, planning or decision‑making is required. Experience in workforce, skills or labour market research – or working with sector or government bodies – would be an advantage but isn’t essential. A full, valid driving licence and vehicle access are required because of our location. Adaptability, resilience and a passion for evidence-driven change are essential.

Equal Opportunities

Webrecruit and Lantra are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
