What you’ll be doing
Our client provides engaging, high-quality resources for use in the classroom and across schools.
In this maternity cover role, you will be responsible for managing their work on those resources. You will work with colleagues across the team to create, develop, quality assure and promote new and existing resources. You will also work with internal and external stakeholders to develop projects to help extend the organisation’s reach. Throughout, you will reflect and consider the impact of their work, ensuring that they are consistently striving to provide high quality and engaging resources for schools.
This role is based in London but you will be able to work from home if you prefer under the flexible working policy. However, you will need to be in London at least six times per year for team and organisational days, induction or training and unfortunately, our client is unable to cover travel costs for this.
What our client is looking for
You will need class teaching experience in the UK – preferably in a primary school or equivalent setting – as well as some reading and writing expertise, including the creation of effective, engaging and innovative teaching resources for reading, writing and spoken language. Knowledge of the national curricula and providers of teaching websites and other resources is also essential. An understanding of reading, writing and spoken language research would be an advantage, as would experience of voluntary sector project delivery.
