The Role

This is a detail-focused role at the heart of our commercial operations. As our Media Buyer / Purchasing Administrator, you'll be responsible for receiving and progressing advertising pricing and purchasing requests from our Sales team. You'll liaise with suppliers, secure and negotiate quotes, raise purchase orders, keep Salesforce records accurate, and make sure purchases and confirmations are completed correctly and on time. You'll be joining a team where you'll build strong commercial and supplier knowledge, contribute directly to the smooth running of our sales and delivery process, and help ensure our customers' advertising activity is purchased and tracked accurately. You'll also get variety in the role, working with a wide range of suppliers and supporting organisations across multiple sectors.

Specifically, you will:

  • Monitor incoming quote and purchase requests via Salesforce notifications and automated emails
  • Review requests to confirm they contain the required information to proceed
  • Research and source advertising options, recommending best-fit channels where needed
  • Source and validate quotes, ensuring products, pricing and validity are clear
  • Negotiate pricing and added value with suppliers to secure the best possible deal
  • Raise Purchase Orders and keep booking and cost records accurate and up to date
  • Maintain supplier and contact records in Salesforce and keep activity history up to date
  • Support reporting and MI by compiling job board usage/performance data where available

About You

  • Experience in a purchasing, procurement, buying or admin role (or similar work involving quotes, supplier liaison and purchase orders)
  • A commercial mindset, with confidence negotiating and challenging pricing to secure best value
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, well-structured work
  • Confident using Excel to produce and maintain reports
  • Comfortable using CRM/workflow systems (e.g. Salesforce) and following defined processes
  • Able to manage multiple requests and priorities while keeping accuracy high
