The Role
As a SHE Officer, you will support our safety, health and environmental compliance across GB. Reporting to the Group SHE Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for all safety, health, and environmental matters within the region, ensuring adherence to current legislation and internal policies. You will assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying ways to reduce risk, whilst supporting the maintenance of our ISO Integrated Management System. Beyond this, you will develop health and safety strategies and internal policies and conduct regular inspections across sites and offices to ensure proper implementation.
About You
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and/or NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction (UK) H&S or equivalent/higher
- Level 3 Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent
- At least three years' recent and relevant experience within the UK construction and/or mechanical/electrical engineering industry
- Knowledge of CDM, LOLER, PUWER, Electricity at Work Act and Gas Safety Regulations
- Experience in formulating policies and risk assessments
- Experience of implementing, monitoring, reviewing and auditing safety processes
- Knowledge/experience of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001
- Effective IT skills and competency in Microsoft Office Packages
- Full current UK Driving Licence required to fulfil duties of the role, to include travel across UK sites
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm & Friday, 8.30am - 4.00pm. You will be required to travel for this position throughout the UK and possibly Ireland.
