Location: Flexible, based at one of our offices in the South East and London, with regular nationwide travel.

Salary: £26,409 per annum / 36 hours per week / 12 Month fixed-term contract.

Overview

You will be a vital link between our operational teams, central colleagues, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless planning and execution of events and hires across the country. This full‑time, fixed‑term role (12 months) involves regular travel and sometimes evening or weekend work, but you will be based in the South East or London and can work from our offices, home, or a hybrid arrangement when not on site.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on‑site point of contact during event and venue hires, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, smooth operations and excellent visitor and client experiences.
  • Work confidently with health and safety legislation and licensing requirements, ensuring all events and hires comply with statutory obligations and English Heritage policies.
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholder teams and contribute to the development, planning, and documentation of the events and venue hire programme.
  • Help identify opportunities to enhance and grow the offer.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering events or venue hires, ideally in outdoor, heritage, or high‑profile environments.
  • Experience preparing event management plans and risk assessments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A full UK driving licence.
