We are a professional couple seeking a reliable and proactive Housekeeper & Childminder/Nanny to join our household. This is a full-time position, that will require working flexible hours, including some weekends, and occasional evenings.

Your primary responsibility will be maintaining a well-organised and smoothly running home, alongside childcare for our three bright and active children (aged 5 to 10).

Duties include:

  • Cleaning, vacuuming and tidying; laundry and ironing; and ensuring the home remains well-organised and well-maintained.
  • Preparing simple, family-style suppers for the children, and washing up.
  • Occasionally assisting with lunch/dinner parties and household entertaining.
  • Assisting with school pick-ups; and taking and collecting the children to and from activities.
  • Occasional babysitting, including overnight childcare when parents are away, approximately 2 nights a month.
  • Accompanying the family on regular trips to Cornwall, to provide housekeeping and childcare support.
  • Caring for the family dog, including walking and feeding.

About You

You will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • To be energetic and have a positive attitude.
  • To be kind, calm and compassionate.
  • To be proactive, a problem-solver, and have the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be dependable, with a high degree of flexibility, to work the hours required to support the family.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and good personal presentation.
  • A satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
  • A full UK driving licence. Access to a car will be provided for work-related use if required.
  • To be dog-friendly.
  • To preferably be an Italian speaker, to support the children to learn Italian, although this is not essential.
