The Role
As a DBS Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of DBS checks and related safer recruitment processes across the organisation, helping to ensure they are delivered accurately, efficiently and in accordance with DBS requirements. Specifically, you’ll process DBS applications, verify identity documentation, maintain safeguarding records and databases, and ensure confidential information is managed securely whilst monitoring DBS disclosures and escalating concerns where appropriate. Working closely with parish safeguarding representatives, you’ll build positive working relationships whilst supporting the wider Safeguarding Office and contributing to the delivery of an effective safeguarding service.
About You
To be considered as a DBS Administrator, you will need:
- Experience in an administrative role, with excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage sensitive information with complete discretion
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also using your own initiative
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- An adaptable and professional attitude
