They are now looking for a Bat Groups Officer to join them on a part-time, permanent basis, working 30 hours per week. This role involves regular travel across England and occasional travel to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. The Role As a Bat Groups Officer, you will support our client’s groups across England, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, facilitating formal relationships and promoting effective communication across the sector. Specifically, you will lead the Partner Group network and provide tailored support, identify training needs, and act as a liaison point between groups, our client, and related landscape initiatives. You will also manage programmes of work, organise and attend events, oversee budgets and reporting, and line manage the Wales Bat Groups Officer. Additionally, you will: – Maintain annual MOUs and insurance compliance statements – Organise and attend Partner Group meetings – Manage the Partner Group Support Fund and identify support actions – Lead the organisation of regional conferences and forums – Produce and distribute bulletins and updates – Co-edit publications and maintain web content – Administer awards and support fundraising efforts About You To be considered as a Bat Groups Officer, you will need: – At least two years’ experience working in the wildlife sector with volunteers – Experience managing programmes of work – Experience developing and/or delivering training to a range of audiences – Experience using web content management systems – Experience managing budgets and writing reports – Project development and project management experience – Good knowledge of bat ecology and conservation, including practical experience – A full, valid driving licence The closing date for this role is 10am on Monday 30th June 2025.
