The organisations entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe. Douglas & Grahame are now looking for an ambitious Executive Business Manager to join the business and work closely with senior leadership across a broad range of operational and commercial initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the centre of a fast-paced business, driving projects forward, improving processes, and supporting the day-to-day execution of company priorities.

The Executive Business Manager will work closely with the Managing Director to support the effective execution of strategic, commercial and operational priorities across the business. Acting as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director, the role is responsible for driving key initiatives forward, coordinating cross-functional activity, supporting decision-making and helping to ensure business priorities are translated into action. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, commercial awareness and sound judgement, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple areas of the business.

  • Supporting the Managing Director with key business initiatives and projects
  • Co-ordinating cross-functional projects; monitoring timelines, deliverables, and business priorities to ensure execution stays on track
  • Supporting communication and collaboration across departments
  • Providing regular updates on project progress and business activities
  • Supporting business reporting, planning, and performance analysis
  • Assisting with planning and execution of seasonal product ranges and sourcing
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and internal processes
  • Supporting ad hoc needs of the MD and day-to-day business management as required

To be considered as the Executive Business Manager, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a commercial, business operations, project management or similar role
  • Strong commercial awareness and business understanding
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience within fashion, retail or consumer goods would be advantageous
