Location: Based in Telford (with travel to other boroughs for pick-ups, you may also be required to visit our sites in South Yorkshire for training and development as needed)
Hours: Full-time position (9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Contract Term: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Who will I be changing the lives of?
All our learners have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and as a result all have some level of additional need. Some of the most common areas of need that we see are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), and ADHD, although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.

We currently have projects in Telford, Rotherham, Barnsley, London and The Midlands.

Roles and Responsibilities
Teaching and Support:

  1. Deliver high-quality teaching of functional skills from Entry Level 1 to Level 2 (when required)
  2. Provide in-class support and interventions as needed, tailored to individual learning needs
  3. Deliver high-quality planning and curriculum tailored to individual learning needs
  4. Work closely with tutors to upskill and develop their teaching abilities by modelling and sharing best practices, mentoring, and coaching
  5. Lead high-quality CPD programmes to support continuous teaching, learning, and assessment improvement
  6. Conduct lesson observations, provide constructive feedback, and support tutors to implement effective and creative teaching strategies

Administration:

  1. Establish and maintain robust systems for tracking and monitoring student progress, attainment, and engagement
  2. Use data to identify trends, gaps in learning, and areas for improvement
  3. Implement strategies to improve student outcomes, ensuring each learner makes significant progress
  4. Manage all aspects of exam entries, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements
  5. Analyse exam and assessment data to inform teaching strategies and curriculum planning
  6. Maintain accurate records of student progress and outcomes, reporting on data to the Change Leader
  7. Develop, implement, and review quality assurance policies and practices to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
  8. Lead teaching, learning and assessment evaluation across the provision, implementing strategies to enhance quality
  9. Support the Change Leader in establishing and delivering the teaching and learning aims and objectives of the college

Leadership Collaboration:

  1. Collaborate with the Change Leader to set strategic teaching, learning, and assessment priorities
  2. Lead initiatives to embed best practices in inclusive education and differentiated learning
  3. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations for all students and staff

What to expect from the recruitment process:

  1. Application form submitted and reviewed by the panel
  2. Shortlisted candidates invited to a first stage interview
  3. Candidates who are successful at the first stage interview will be invited for a second stage assessment which may consist of an in-tray task, scenario presentation or microteach along with time with the learners, and a tour of the workplace
  4. Candidate selection – the panel will review any applications, and a selection decision will be made
  5. Recruitment Manager will contact applicants to let them know the outcome of their interviews
