Are you passionate about developing students as future leaders and change agents? Do you have a proactive approach to students’ learning and in preparing them for success at university and in the workplace? This role will help deliver the Global Professional Award (GPA) and to contribute to this innovative programme’s development and improvement.

Building on early successes of the Award, we are expanding our team of trainers to enable the delivery of high quality online and face-to-face content to undergraduate students. GPA trainers collaborate with one another and University stakeholders to design content based on three key themes of Employability & Enterprise, Wellbeing, and Global and Social Awareness. The Award links to our institutional strategy map and aims to support positive employability outcomes, as well as providing students with a world-class learning experience. It enables students to leave with enhanced skills and knowledge to help them succeed at university and in their chosen career paths.

With a degree and teaching/coaching qualification, or relevant experience gained through holding a similar role, you will be joining the University of Huddersfield’s award-winning Careers and Employability Service, recipient of the Best University Employability Strategy Award (National Graduate Recruitment Awards, 2021). If you are looking for a challenging and stimulating role that further develops you as a professional and your ability to support students through their university journey, you won’t be disappointed.

As part of our commitment to improving diversity and representation within the sector, we are particularly welcoming applications from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic candidates. This is in line with the positive action provisions of the Equality Act 2010, aimed at addressing underrepresentation in our organisation.

We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties). The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.

If you are a current student at the University, you are welcome to apply for part-time roles of 16 hours or less per week, unless you are a part-time postgraduate student, in which case you can also apply for full time roles, subject to any visa requirements.
