Salary: Grade 2 Point 16-19:
– starting at £24,971 end FTE pro rata per annum, rising to £27,504 end (£12,485.50 – £13,752.00 per annum, pro rata)

Family Action & the Role’s Impact:
Family Action has been supporting individuals and families through challenges and crises for over 150 years. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Group Facilitator to join our team, focusing on empowering adult survivors of sexual violence through group-based support.

The Group Facilitator will be responsible for creating opportunities for adult survivors of sexual violence to connect, share experiences, and access meaningful support. You will lead and facilitate trauma-informed groups both remotely and in-person, while working collaboratively with a small group of volunteers.

This role is key in driving forward our work in Portsmouth and Southeast Hampshire, ensuring our services remain rooted in intersectional feminism and anti-oppressive practice. You will help create a more inclusive and supportive community for those who have experienced sexual violence.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver trauma-informed groups both remote and in-person and support a small group of volunteers to co-facilitate.
  2. Lead the promotion, delivery, and evaluation of psycho-educational pre-therapy groups and post-therapy drop-in groups.
  3. Support as part of the clinical team with the co-produced steering group for lived experiences for adult survivors of sexual violence in Portsmouth and Southeast Hampshire.
  4. Receive 1.5 hours per month of paid clinical supervision plus line management supervision with the PARCS Adult Team Manager and Clinical Lead.
  5. Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
