Job Description

GAVO supports, facilitates and brokers positive change in the Well-being of people and communities through collaborative approaches

Wellbeing Coach
Salary SCP 30 £31,688pa
37 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
Based in Blaenau Gwent
Fixed Term until 31/3/26 (possibility of an extension to 31/3/27)

Trailblazer pilots will be designed and delivered by local authority partners to develop and test innovative, localised approaches to reducing economic inactivity. These pilots will focus on individuals aged 16+ who are economically inactive, with particular attention to those who are disabled, have health conditions, or have caring responsibilities.

The role
The Trailblazer programme will work in close alignment with the Well-being Coaches initiative, creating a strong synergy between both programmes. This collaboration will ensure that individuals supported through Trailblazers can also benefit from the holistic, person-centred approach offered by Well-being Coaches—helping them to improve their health, confidence, and readiness to engage in community and economic opportunities.

About you
Highly motivated and organised with a commitment to improving community well-being, the successful candidate will have a relevant level 3 qualification in Health/Physical Activity and/or Social Care or equivalent professional qualification/level of experience. Good IT Skills, including Microsoft 365 packages, are essential.
