We have a vacancy for an experienced Digital Copywriter who will craft exceptional content and contribute to user-centric digital experiences.

About Webreality

Webreality is a busy, thriving and growing digital agency. It’s a fun and rewarding place to work. We service over 175 clients, with multiple project teams working on website builds, digital marketing campaigns, social media strategies, content production, and custom software development.

The role

We’re looking for a creative and versatile Digital Copywriter in the UK to join our team by working remotely, creating compelling copy that drives engagement. You’ll play an integral role in content design, ensuring that our digital solutions are both effective and delightful for users. Your work will span a range of formats, from long-form website content to snappy digital campaigns, social media and email marketing. About half of the role is dedicated to one client - a regulated B2B financial services business - for whom you'll write and optimise website pages to a defined standard. The rest is the variety you'd expect agency-side, across a range of B2B and B2C industries. What ties it together is a modern approach to visibility: classic search still matters, but more of your readers now arrive through an AI answer than a list of links, and you'll write for both. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, for no fewer than 12 hours of work a week.

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Work closely with our client managers to understand client goals, user needs and messaging
  • Interpret client briefs to craft impactful, on-brand copy that supports user-centric content strategies
  • Write and optimise long-form content for visibility in AI answer engines (GEO/AEO) as well as traditional search
  • Write compliant copy for regulated clients, working to their strict standards and editorial guidelines
  • Create engaging, targeted copy for social media posts, campaigns and email marketing
  • Collaborate with creative, marketing and technical teams to produce cohesive, user-focused digital experiences
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy and alignment with client objectives
  • Contribute to UX design by providing content insights and recommendations
  • Ensure content meets client requirements, timelines and budgets
  • Present your work to colleagues and clients, explaining your approach and rationale
  • Monitor and analyse content performance, adapting strategies to enhance results
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies and AI tools in digital marketing and content design
  • Support the growth of existing client relationships by identifying opportunities to enhance their digital content.

What you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be a natural storyteller with a flair for writing persuasive and engaging copy
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and impeccable grammar
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt tone and style to diverse brands and audiences
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understand the principles of content design and how they contribute to user-centric digital experiences
  • Use data and research to inform and refine your content strategies
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Show attention to detail
  • Work with good humour under pressure
  • Thrive in a dynamic, busy team
  • Stay up to date with the latest content trends and digital marketing innovations
  • Have the maturity and professionalism to liaise with clients at a variety of levels and across functions.

What we’re looking for

  • A love of words and everything digital
  • A passion for crafting engaging, inspiring content that prioritises the user
  • Familiarity with content design principles
  • Enthusiasm and experience in the judicious use of AI tools in support of your personal brilliance
  • Experience creating GEO-optimised content, not just classic SEO, and using content performance measurement tools
  • Experience writing for B2B and/or regulated sectors, with financial or professional services a strong plus
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role, in-house or agency-side
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of copywriting styles, including user-focused content
  • Confidence using website content management systems
  • A thirst for learning and continuous personal development—it’s what makes us tick.
