We are looking for a hands-on Digital Growth Executive (SEO & Content) to join our growing digital agency. This is not a pure strategy role and it is not an entry-level admin role. We need someone who can help turn growth plans into action across SEO, content, local search and website improvement for a range of clients including financial advisers, mortgage brokers, estate agents and our own brands.
You will work closely with our internal team and external strategic support to ensure work is implemented, tracked and moving clients forward month by month. This is a key hire as we continue to strengthen our in-house growth offering across SEO, content, local visibility and website performance.
About the role
You will play an important role in helping us build a more structured, commercially focused in-house SEO and content function that supports long-term client growth. Your work will include:
- Reviewing pages and identifying what they should be targeting in search
- Improving title tags, meta descriptions, page headings and page introductions
- Strengthening internal linking between pages and content
- Helping turn agreed SEO priorities into clear content briefs
- Reviewing and preparing content before it is sent to clients or published
- Supporting local SEO work, including Google Business Profile alignment, citations and location relevance
- Monitoring Search Console, GA4, Google Ads and SEO tool data to identify movement, issues and opportunities
- Helping prepare clear monthly reports and internal progress updates
- Keeping SEO activity organised through trackers, action logs and delivery plans
- Working with our content, support, development and leadership teams to ensure the right work gets done
What we need from you
You must be able to:
- Understand what a page is trying to target and what it should be targeting
- Carry out solid on-page SEO improvements without needing everything explained from scratch
- Write or improve metadata and content briefs clearly and commercially
- Support content optimisation and ensure content is publication-ready
- Understand the basics of local SEO and citation building
- Use tools such as Google Search Console, GA4 and SEMrush to monitor progress
- Spot issues early and escalate them clearly
- Manage your tasks carefully and keep work moving without constant chasing
Essential experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience working on SEO in an agency or multi-client environment
- Strong hands-on experience with on-page SEO and content optimisation
- Confidence using Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one major SEO platform such as SEMrush
- Ability to turn strategy into practical actions across pages, content and internal linking
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational habits
- Strong written English and the ability to produce clear, commercially sensible copy elements
- The discipline to keep trackers, notes and actions up to date
Desirable experience
It would be a bonus if you also have experience with:
- Local SEO
- Google Business Profile optimisation
- Citation building and outreach support
- Financial services, property or other trust-led sectors
- Briefing technical SEO fixes to developers
- Reviewing backlinks and identifying poor-quality links
- Basic conversion optimisation thinking
What kind of person will do well here
You are likely to be:
- Practical and proactive
- Organised and dependable
- Commercially aware
- Willing to learn and improve
- Happy working across multiple accounts
- More interested in doing the work properly than hiding behind jargon
What you will not be expected to do
You will not be expected to:
- Act as the sole senior SEO strategist from day one
- Manage all client strategy alone
- Know everything already
You will be supported by internal leadership, a clear delivery structure, and strategic oversight. But you must be able to contribute real practical value from the start.
Benefits
- Remote working
- Annual bonus scheme
- Ongoing training and development
- Opportunity to grow into a senior delivery or strategy-support role over time
- Real influence on how our in-house SEO and content delivery develops
- Friendly team culture
- Staff socials
Hours and salary
Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
