Are you a Life Sciences graduate with an interest in Medical Education, Medical Communications, Medical Writing, Account Management, or the pharmaceutical industry?

Medscape is offering an exciting opportunity for a Life Sciences graduate to gain valuable experience through a paid 2–3 month internship within our Medical Affairs division.

You will support our sales team in identifying key opportunities and building new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and life sciences customers.

We are looking for someone who is scientifically curious, AI-savvy, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys using technology to drive efficiency.

Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and mobile applications that help physicians and healthcare professionals access clinical reference sources, stay up to date with the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits, and connect with peers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to support prospecting, congress activity, account activity, documentation, and client-facing meetings and events.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong internal relationships to support seamless and timely project execution.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify and prospect new sales opportunities.

Opportunity Building

  • Conduct proactive outreach in preparation for autumn medical conferences and support activities designed to generate new meetings and opportunities for the sales team.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.

Industry Knowledge

  • A genuine interest in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
  • Comfortable working with medical and scientific terminology.
  • Interest in medical education, medical communications, or medical publishing.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn platforms such as Workfront, Tableau, or Salesforce.
  • Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies.

Core Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Working Style

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Duration: 2–3 months

Monthly stipend: Β£2,000–£2,200, depending on experience

Location: Central London

Office attendance: One day per week is strongly preferred
