Responsibilities
WebMD/Medscape is looking for a qualified Marketing Director to join the Medscape Global (OUS) Education Team focused on Global markets. The Marketing Director will focus on leading the B2B education marketing team to strategize and execute marketing projects in a variety of mediums. Acting as a player/coach, the Marketing Director will work closely with sales colleagues, manage high level initiatives, and act as a mentor for a team of marketers. The Marketing Director will stay current on industry marketing trends to educate and grow the capabilities of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor team of marketers
- Lead the development of Medscape Education marketing plan for Global (OUS) focused initiatives
- Strategize with sales leadership on marketing needs
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders on marketing or design requests
- Manage industry partnerships and Medscape Education presence at industry events
- Identify ways to improve or enhance marketing team processes
Skills and Capabilities
- Knowledge of global pharmaceutical or medical education markets, experience in medical affairs a plus
- Proactive, with a strong sense of self-direction
- Ability to engage key internal stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Excellent communicator – both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
- Strong project management skills
- Resourceful with ability to quickly take projects from idea to execution
- Strategic and creative thinker, inquisitive and willing to evaluate/change current processes if identified
- Comfortable with presenting to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in marketing, business, or related
- 10+ years marketing management experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience mentoring and/or managing marketers
- Experience working closely with sales colleagues to develop marketing strategy
- Experience managing team budgets
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
- Healthcare education marketing experience preferred
