Medscape is seeking a highly motivated Team Lead, Media Planning (Client Services) to join our global business and support the accurate, timely, and high-quality execution of pharmaceutical and healthcare media campaigns. This is a key role where you will manage and develop a number of Media Planners, setting the standard for client service, delivery excellence, and continuous skill development. We are looking for an experienced leader skilled in media planning and client relationship management who is highly organized and thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Drive team performance by actively leading, mentoring, and developing Media Planners and Associate Media Planners. Foster a culture focused on shared success, problem‑solving, and continuous learning in media products and digital trends.
- Client Partnership & Escalation: Serve as a trusted client partner, ensuring strong day‑to‑day service standards and reviewing key deliverables. Act as the primary escalation point for client‑related questions, campaign issues, and process challenges, taking ownership and applying strong judgment to effectively progress campaigns.
- Campaign Delivery Oversight: Oversee end‑to‑end campaign management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, and reporting, to ensure accuracy and alignment with client objectives. Ensure consistent delivery quality across all projects.
- Operational Excellence & Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with internal partners (including Sales, Sales Operations, and Media Planning Operations) to ensure cross‑functional delivery. Identify and contribute to process improvements, workflows, and training materials to enhance operational efficiency and maintain strong revenue management practices.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Media or digital display advertising
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a team of direct reports
- Communication and Influence: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including proven presentation abilities. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stakeholders, negotiate, and influence outcomes with both internal teams and senior executives.
- Drive for Results: Highly organized, results‑oriented, proactive, and positive. Must possess strong prioritization skills and the ability to multitask and function effectively under pressure to meet delivery timeframes.
- Team and Learning Mindset: A true team player with a willingness to pitch in. Must have a passion for customer service, a desire to quickly forge and maintain relationships, and a commitment to continuous learning in the rapidly evolving digital media industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and Google GSuite. Knowledge of Digital Advertising tools (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DCM).
