Position Overview: Medscape Education is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative Senior Program Manager to lead complex medical education initiatives. This role provides the opportunity to drive the end-to-end management of educational programs, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of CME/medical education content. The ideal candidate is an organized, strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This role will have a direct impact on the education of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a portfolio of medical education projects, ensuring compliance with CME industry standards and organizational objectives.
- Develop project plans, track milestones, manage dependencies, and oversee the critical path to ensure on-time delivery.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to achieve program goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks, offering creative solutions to overcome challenges and accelerate project timelines.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates and detailed reports to leadership.
- Serve as the escalation point for project issues, ensuring effective conflict resolution and timely decision-making.
- Allocate resources, assign project timelines, and adjust workflows to accommodate unique project requirements.
- Support process improvements, leveraging technology to enhance project efficiency and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree required; PMI certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in project/program management; experience in healthcare, medical education, or CME is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, project management platforms (e.g., Workfront), and web-based collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint).
