Role Overview
Medscape is looking for a highly-organised Associate Project Manager to manage Medical Affairs programmes for our global pharmaceutical industry clients. The Associate Project Manager will serve as the internal steward on key campaigns and client deliverables, partnering closely with the Account Management (client-facing) team to support flawless execution. Candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in project management, timeline execution and developing internal stakeholder relationships, plus the ability to provide detailed, clear and proactive communication.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the internal development and delivery of Medical Affairs projects, which may include digital content (online hubs, videos, emails, short-form alerts), slide decks and meeting content.
- Setting up and managing multiple project timelines in our digital project management system (WorkFront).
- Daily timeline maintenance to provide an accurate picture of project tasks and resourcing needs.
- Reviewing project plans, managing dependencies and critical path issues, and modifying timelines as necessary.
- Working with other team members based in multiple locations (UK, Europe, US, India).
- Participating in meetings with internal teams to discuss and review timelines, assets, key milestones and progress.
- Strong adherence to internal and client processes and requirements, with a focus on delivering high-quality programmes and error-free launches.
- Translating client priorities and expectations clearly across internal development teams.
- Confident utilisation of project-level reporting and dashboard functions within our project management system to manage own projects.
- Following up on delayed tasks and escalating potential project issues/delays to senior team leaders.
- Managing to project scope and participating in scope escalation meetings.
- Supporting overall team revenue goals, identifying potential risks and communicating these independently to team leads.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience ideally within digital projects, an agency, pharma and/or Medical Education/Medical Affairs.
- Excellent organisation and documentation skills (MS Word, Excel, task management systems like WorkFront, GSuite).
Additional Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of marketing-related content, creative and digital processes.
- Experience with medical/legal review process within pharmaceutical industry; equivalent experience in a highly regulated industry may substitute.
- Familiarity with healthcare professional-focused clients.
- Ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a willingness to accept varied assignments.
- Extreme focus on accuracy, attention to detail and consistency of work.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English.
