The Technical Services Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational support of the enterprise hosting platforms that underpin critical clinical and business services within a major healthcare environment.
Working as part of the Telefónica Tech Hosting Team, the engineer will support a large-scale infrastructure estate including VMware virtualisation, Windows Server platforms, Active Directory services and core infrastructure components such as DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on maintaining service stability, resolving incidents, implementing changes and performing routine maintenance across the hosting environment.
Engineers work across a broad set of infrastructure technologies rather than specialising in a single platform, gaining exposure to virtualisation platforms, Citrix environments, enterprise storage, backup platforms and application hosting services.
The role provides an excellent opportunity for a Technical Services Engineer to develop broad enterprise platform experience while contributing to the evolution of a critical NHS hosting environment.
The role is primarily based on-site at the customer location, with an expectation of at least 4 days per week on-site. Occasional travel to Telefónica Tech office locations may also be required for team meetings or business activities.
