Webgenesys S.p.A. is working on the future of cybersecurity applied to public administration and large enterprises, integrating open-source Large Language Models (LLM) on-premise, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and dynamic decision trees to make Security Operation Centers (SOC) proactive, transparent, and compliant with European regulations (GDPR, NIS2, AI Act). To strengthen our team, we are looking for an AI Engineer to contribute to the development, deployment, and optimisation of AI components, RAG, and Machine Learning.
The role will focus on the use of linguistic models or reasoning and data analysis, with an emphasis on explainability, security, automation, and integration with cybersecurity workflows. The candidate will work on integrating business solutions with AI.
Main Activities:
- Optimise Large Language Models (LLM/LRM) and RAG systems in on-premise environments and corporate SOCs.
- Integrate AI models with dynamic decision trees and correlation systems (graph DB).
- Implement MLOps pipelines for the secure, scalable, and monitored deployment of AI models.
- Ensure that AI solutions meet the explainability and compliance requirements imposed by the AI Act and European regulations.
- Collaborate with the Cyber team to develop joint use cases (e.g., incident analysis, automatic reporting generation, decision support for SOC analysts).
- Monitor the state of the art of European open-source AI technologies, focusing on “sovereign AI” and ethical models.
- Contribute to technical documentation and support R&D activities.
Requirements:
- Degree in technical-scientific disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent experience (min. 5 years in AI/ML).
- Demonstrable experience with Large Language Models (HuggingFace, LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, etc.) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
- Solid knowledge of Python and ML/AI libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Haystack, etc.).
- Experience in MLOps (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD for AI models).
- Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Weaviate, Pinecone) and graph DB (e.g., Neo4j).
- Ability to design and implement explainable AI solutions that adhere to compliance frameworks.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, possibly proven by Oxford/Cambridge certifications.
- Knowledge of AI and security regulations (AI Act, GDPR, NIS2).
- Experience with high-performance distributed systems (GPU, multi-node Kubernetes).
- Publications, open-source projects, or contributions to the AI community.
