Weβre looking for a skilled freelance developer to support a high-volume website content migration project for a global brand. The project involves migrating content from Sitecore to Contentful, using automated scripting and API-driven methods to streamline the process and ensure content accuracy and SEO integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and run migration scripts to extract, transform, and import content into Contentful using its API.
- Work closely with our internal SEO and content teams to ensure key SEO elements (metadata, URL structure, redirects) are preserved.
- Create and implement a repeatable, testable migration process across multiple domains.
- Troubleshoot issues related to content formatting, model mismatches, and data validation within Contentful.
- Provide technical documentation for the migration process.
- Proven experience with scripted content migrations, ideally into headless CMS platforms.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript (Node.js) or Python.
- Experience with Contentful or a similar headless CMS, including content modelling and environment management.
- Comfortable working with REST APIs, JSON, and structured content.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for content migration is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate technical requirements clearly.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English to professional level.
