Position: Flora Fields (dahlia experience) Associate (Zero hours fixed term, August 2026 – October 2026) located at Wychbold garden centre. The role is based at our store in Wychbold and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Responsibilities
- Brief guests on arrival: outline the Flora Fields experience and proactively sell the full package.
- Check ticket types, request ID for seasonal passes, and scan Clubcards to process free entry.
- Remind Pick Your Own guests of their dahlias purchased.
- Provide guests with equipment such as snips or buckets.
- Advise visitors on dahlia varieties, how to cut them properly, and how to care for them at home.
- Wrap cut dahlias for guests to take home.
- Set up and maintain the retail display each day, and pack away stock at close.
- Collect picnic hampers from the kitchen, transfer chilled items to the Airstream, and serve guests during their booking.
- Check picnic hampers back in, confirm all items are returned (flasks, blankets, etc.), and process deposit refunds.
- Assist with catering aspects of the field, taking and making drink orders, and serving visitors at Riverside Gardens.
- Perform physical tasks with the grounds team: field prep, mulching, planting, and deadheading before or after the field opens.

- Resourceful and adaptable, willing to handle tasks from guest interaction to Airstream service to ground work.
