This year, our much-loved Enchanted Gardens festive event is taking families on an incredible adventure into The Jungle Book!
Our magical outdoor trail will be filled with spectacular lights, immersive scenes, familiar characters and plenty of Christmas magic — and we’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Event Marshals to help make the experience truly unforgettable.
As an Event Marshal, you’ll be one of the friendly faces helping families navigate their way through our spectacular Jungle Book adventure.
You’ll be there to welcome guests, offer directions, answer questions, manage the flow of visitors and help create a warm and exciting atmosphere throughout the trail.
You’ll be an important part of making the Enchanted Gardens experience run smoothly.
You’ll be expected to:
- Welcome guests and help them feel excited about their Jungle Book adventure.
- Provide clear directions and information throughout the trail.
- Answer questions and assist guests wherever possible.
- Engage positively with children and families.
- Help manage the flow of guests around the trail.
- Think quickly and confidently when unexpected situations arise.
- Remain alert to guest needs and help identify any issues.
- Go the extra mile to help create memorable moments for our visitors.
Every family is different, every child is different — and you never quite know what might happen on an Enchanted Jungle Book adventure!
We’re looking for people who are friendly, approachable, confident and full of positive energy.
You don’t need to be a performer, but you do need to enjoy interacting with people and be comfortable working in a busy, family-focused environment.
Previous experience in events, customer service, hospitality, visitor attractions, outdoor roles or working with children would be a bonus.
Most importantly, you’ll need to be:
- Friendly, welcoming and approachable.
- Confident speaking with guests of all ages.
- Positive, enthusiastic and reliable.
- A great team player.
- Observant and attentive to what’s happening around you.
- Comfortable working in a busy, immersive environment.
This is an outdoor winter role, so you’ll need to be prepared for cold, wet and changing weather conditions.
You’ll spend much of your shift on your feet, walking the trail, assisting guests and helping the event run smoothly. Staying warm, comfortable, hydrated and energised will be essential.
Shifts are during the evenings and include both weekdays and weekends.
Start times are typically from 4pm, with shifts lasting between 4 and 6 hours. Some shifts may finish as late as 10pm, so please ensure you have suitable travel arrangements before applying.
This is a fixed term role beginning 2nd October 2026 ending 4th January 2027.
The event runs throughout the festive season, so evening and weekend availability is important.

You’ll be working alongside our fantastic cast of Jungle Book characters, including Baloo, Bagheera and Moti the Wolf, helping to bring their world to life for thousands of visitors.
