Webbs is an award-winning garden centre retailer with four stores and a growing ecommerce business. Our stores are premium garden centres with exceptional indoor and outdoor horticulture departments, a range of quality gifts, homeware, furniture and clothing. Our high-quality restaurants offer freshly prepared, seasonally changing menus.
We're an independent family business with a great team of people. At Webbs our values are Genuine, Caring, Experts. We have an excellent workplace culture with a focus on fun and wellbeing whilst we work hard to get the job done together. We’re proud to have won national awards including Best UK Workplaces, Best UK Workplace for Women and Excellence in Wellbeing awards.
We provide a legendary Christmas experience where we run a wonderful and authentic grotto, which will be as magical as ever this year.
Our Grotto officially opens on 28 November 2026 and runs until 24 December 2026 offering an authentic grotto experience including the all-important one to one meeting with Santa.
We’re currently on the lookout for some dedicated and enthusiastic Elves to support Santa in delivering our best Christmas yet.
Our Elves are key in feeding information to Santa and helping him keep a steady hand on the reins! We have no script, we improvise with cheer and positivity, and help children and their grown-ups to enjoy their visit.
You'll be great with children; ideally having some experience of working with them.
You’ll be friendly and outgoing with a smiley disposition. Acting or entertainment skills would be advantageous, and it goes without saying that you'll love all things Christmas and enjoy spreading lots of festive cheer to our guests.
Kids can be creative little things, so you’ll need to think on your feet, stay in character and make sure to fuel up to keep yourself warm and energised for the duration.
These are zero-hour fixed term positions. Various shifts will be available. Exact shift start and finish times will vary slightly but could include working evenings up until 6pm.
If you have a love for Christmas, are a welcoming and jolly character and have a desire to put the ‘Elf’ in Selfie, we’d love to hear from you.
If you’d like to join our fun, friendly and welcoming Webbs team, we’d love to hear from you! Simply click the “Apply Online” button below to begin your application.
