We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Web Shop Fulfilment Team Leader to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our e‑commerce fulfilment team.

Webbs is an award‑winning garden centre retailer with four stores and a growing e‑commerce business. Our stores are premium garden centres with exceptional indoor and outdoor horticulture departments, a range of quality gifts, homeware, furniture and clothing. Our high quality restaurants offer freshly prepared, seasonally changing menus.

This role requires a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has a strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and e‑commerce logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the fulfilment team.
• Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of web shop orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor daily order volumes and allocate resources accordingly to meet dispatch deadlines.
• Ensure team compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to track team performance and productivity.
• Train, coach, and support team members to achieve high levels of performance and morale.
• Work closely with customer service, inventory control, and logistics departments to resolve any issues related to orders, returns, or stock discrepancies.
• Identify process improvements and support the implementation of new fulfilment systems or tools.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Provide regular reporting to management on fulfilment performance and issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in e‑commerce fulfilment, warehouse operations, or a similar logistics role.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of order fulfilment processes and best practices.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate a team.
• Competent in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
• Experience with platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar e‑commerce systems.
• Forklift licence or relevant equipment handling certifications.
• First Aid or Health & Safety training.

You will need to be comfortable with manual handling and working at pace.

This is a full‑time, permanent position. Working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including some weekends.

The role is based at our store in Wychbold and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Hourly rate: £12.70. Salary will meet national minimum wage for age.
