Responsibilities
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager duties include:
- Carrying out accurate picks for customer orders.
- Picking and recording of stock transfers to other stores.
- Communication with store teams regarding stock levels and stock requirements.
- Unloading and checking in supplier deliveries on a timely basis.
- Assisting in implementation of bin location system.
- Support colleagues to achieve departmental objectives, action plans, projects and operational policies/process improvements.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working area.
- On occasion, be required to help in other areas.
Qualifications and experience
The successful candidate will have experience of supervising teams, manual handling, loading and unloading vehicles, receipting and despatching stock, accurate stock recording and stock movement/transfers. A valid counterbalance and/or bendi forklift truck licence and experience of using an electric pallet truck would be advantageous. Good IT and administration skills are also essential as you\’ll be using our systems to process products and keep our stock inventory up to date. All operational training and support will be provided.
Job Details
This is a full time and permanent position, working on average 39.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota. This involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (you would work 4 days one week and have one weekday plus the weekend off, then you work 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).
