HR Business Partner - Webbs, Wychbold

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources department, reporting to the Head of HR and People.
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives. You will lead on HR projects, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and optimise HR systems to deliver efficient and accurate processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to provide expert HR advice and guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Lead and deliver HR projects, including organisational change, policy development and process improvement.
- Maintain and optimise HR systems (iTrent or similar), including system upgrades, testing and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Successfully manage payroll processes through external managed services, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems, ensuring best practice and compliance.
- Support workforce planning, talent management and succession planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement engagement and wellbeing strategies.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Deliver training and coaching to managers on HR policies and systems.
Essential Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar advisory role.
- Strong HR systems knowledge (iTrent or comparable HRIS).
- Demonstrated experience in leading HR projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience in retail or multi‑site environments.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within an HR generalist role and have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
The role is based at our store in Wychbold, Worcestershire and you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 39.5 hours per week. Core hours are 8.30 – 5.00 with a 30‑minute lunch break each day and a 4.30pm finish on Fridays. Some flexibility can be agreed around these hours.
