We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commis Chef to join our hospitality team at our garden centre restaurant in Cheltenham. Webbs is an award‑winning garden centre retailer with four stores and a growing e‑commerce business. Our premium garden centres offer exceptional indoor and outdoor horticulture, quality gifts, homeware, furniture and clothing, and our restaurants serve freshly prepared, seasonally changing menus.
Responsibilities
- Support chefs in producing a range of menu items from scratch using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.
- Wash up and perform general food preparation.
- Provide cover for chefs during shift changes and busy periods.
- Keep the work area clean and maintain food hygiene standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous kitchen / hospitality experience.
- Pride in providing exceptional customer service.
- Ideally customer‑facing experience in a similar environment.
- Food hygiene knowledge and allergen awareness advantageous (full training provided).
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham.

Pay & Hours
- Full‑time permanent position, average 37.5 hours per week, including weekends, early mornings and evenings.
- Pay: hourly rate £12.21 to £13.00, meeting the national minimum wage for age.
