We’re looking for an experienced sheet metal TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our busy workshop in Dronfield. You’ll fabricate and assemble a variety of products from stainless and mild steel materials using mainly TIG welding process to produce accurate, high-quality work.
The role includes:
- Fabricating, assembling and welding sheet metal components.
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and measurements.
- TIG welding to a high standard.
- Cutting, drilling, grinding and preparing materials using workshop tools and machinery.
- Checking finished work for accuracy, quality and structural integrity.
- Keeping your work area, tools and equipment safe, clean and well maintained.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator / TIG Welder in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Strong TIG welding skills and confidence with reading CAD/engineering drawings.
- Familiar and confident with welding thin gauge stainless steel, ranging from 0.9mm to 3mm.
- Good attention to detail and able to work to tight tolerances.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
- MIG welding capability would be beneficial for the role but not essential.
