Our client is a growing drinks manufacturing business specialising in bottling and canning solutions for a range of customers, with products supplied into major UK retailers. Engaged on an exclusive basis, we are looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Technician to support the development of site quality systems, with a key focus on gaining BRCGS accreditation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation and development of BRCGS standards across the site
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure processes are correctly implemented, followed, and continuously improved
- Monitor adherence to process flows and production procedures
- Carry out quality checks on incoming materials and finished products
- Support the development, amendment, and maintenance of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Assist in developing and maintaining the company Quality Manual and supporting documentation
- Conduct GMP and hygiene checks throughout the production facility
- Investigate customer complaints and support corrective and preventative actions where required
- Assist with internal audits and preparation for external BRCGS audits
- Promote best practice, food safety, and quality standards across the business
- Previous experience within a food or drinks manufacturing environment in a Quality Assurance / Quality Technician role
- Experience working towards or maintaining BRCGS accreditation standards is essential
- Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality systems
- Degree qualified (BSc or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Production, or a related discipline
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
- Able to work effectively within a growing, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Positive attitude with pride in delivering high standards and continuous improvement
- £28,000 salary rising to £30,000 after successful probation
