Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 DOE

Manchester area - Remote working

We are seeking a self-driven and confident claims technician, who has the drive to grow within the business and excel their career. The role is home based with occasional office visits (1 a quarter), so the ability to be self-motivated is an absolute must. The main duties and responsibilities will be to work as part of our desk-based team to drive claims towards settlement. Further to the above you will:

  • Liaise with all parties involved (claimants, insurers and internal departments)
  • Work with third party companies to achieve the desired outcomes, mitigating future problems
  • Update and create building repair scopes using an in-house schedule of rates
  • Assess contractor estimates to ensure they are in line with expectations
  • Negotiate settlements for repairs with policyholders
  • Settle claims under delegated authority

What we are looking for:

  • Previous buildings/property claims experience
  • Great communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
  • Computer literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced target driven environment
  • Positive attitude and be a flexible, self-motivated team player
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess and resolve problems and find solutions
