Webber Hughes are exclusively recruiting for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join a growing national business specialising in automatic and manual doors, gates, barriers, and shutters. Headquartered in Tameside, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled field-based engineer looking to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of automatic door technology. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.

- Installation of automatic door systems
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Reactive repairs and emergency call-outs
Work schedules for installations and maintenance are typically issued weekly, with emergency call-outs allocated as required on a daily basis. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work across a wide range of commercial and industrial sites. Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. Overtime expected.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be technically capable, reliable, and motivated, with the ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a close-knit engineering team. They should have at least 2 years’ field-based experience within the automatic door industry and can deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally.
Overtime paid at time + half (minimum 10 hours per week). Fully funded company vehicle. Full training and ongoing support. Opportunity to join a growing and innovative company.
