Do you have experience as a maintenance engineer working in a manufacturing, fabrication, steel or industrial production environment? Do you have practical experience with electrical wiring, control panels, distribution boards, industrial machinery maintenance? This is a great opportunity and a hands-on role, working for a leading engineering company based in Heywood.
Focused on electrical maintenance, control panel wiring, fault finding, machine repairs, and general factory maintenance, you'll support the safe and efficient operation of production machinery and workshop equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Control panel and electrical wiring
- Electrical installation and maintenance of machinery
- Fault finding and breakdown repairs
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- General factory electrical maintenance
- Supporting welding and fabrication equipment
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or industrial environment
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, and industrial machinery
- Able to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Committed to working safely
- Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Experience with welding or fabrication machinery
- Knowledge of motors, relays, contactors, sensors, and VSDs
