What will your functions be?

As a Product Manager, you will play a major role in maintaining our relationships with hotel partners. Serving as their main point of contact, you will be responsible for reviewing and loading hotel contracts, optimizing the products on offer, and assisting partners with the operation of our internal platforms. In this role, you will take ownership of product optimization for either a single destination or a larger geographical area, adjusting your focus as needed to meet the evolving needs of the business. Working closely under the guidance and direction of the Contract Manager, you will implement market strategies for your assigned region and execute targeted actions to ensure their overall commercial success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hotel partner relationship management: Build and maintain direct relationships with hotel partners and address their queries.
  • Contract and offer loading: Assist with loading of contracts via Fresh Desk platform and last-minute offers.
  • Allocation and availability maintenance: Maintain contractual hotel allocations, last-minute availability, and overall portfolio availability regularly and as required.
  • Promotions and special offers: Work with hotel partners and Contracts Manager on special offers and promotions.
  • Stop sales management: Review, accept, or negotiate against stop sales.
  • Production evaluation and follow-up: Evaluate production and determine follow up action jointly with Contracts Manager and as directed by Line Manager.
  • Partner training and enablement: Implement the training of hotel partners on supplier interface and usage of extranet tools.
  • Competitiveness report execution: Undertake tasks related to the competitiveness report.
  • Price comparison and rate optimization: Undertake regular price comparisons for a given destination to ensure we have the best rates.
  • BAR contract mapping: Assist with mapping and loading of BAR contracts.
  • Booking recovery implementation: Analyse, investigate, and implement recovery of 3P bookings to DC according to departmental parameters.
  • Portfolio management and coverage: Additional responsibilities may include directly handling a small portfolio of suppliers as directed by Line Manager.
  • Lead and opportunity identification: Informing Contracts Managers of new leads and opportunities.
  • Contract Manager business trip support: Assist Contracts Manager with urgent tasks whilst they are on business trips as and when required.
  • Inter-departmental communication: Inter-departmental communication including accounts, reservations and customer care department, content, etc.

What are we looking for?

  • English is a must at an advanced level.
  • Work experience in a similar role and/or with other contracting platforms is a plus.
  • Commercial awareness in the travel industry.
  • Ability to build effective working relations both internally and externally.
  • Personal effectiveness with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable using phone to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Experience in working in fast paced and multi-cultural environment.
  • Proactive, with ability to offer solutions to issues encountered.
  • Good Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to use multiple systems.
  • Team player.
