WEBB Traders is a fast-growing, global proprietary trading company, driven by data and technology. We act as a market maker, using our own capital to trade on exchanges worldwide. WEBB is strongly embedded in the global trading ecosystem. By leveraging a large network of interdealer brokers, direct exchange connectivity, and advanced electronic trading technology, we provide liquidity across financial markets, specializing in cash equities and derivatives.

Since our first trade in 2009, our headquarters have been in Amsterdam, supported by a strong presence in Paris. With over 70 employees representing 25+ nationalities, we are united by the ambition to grow into a global leader in arbitrage and liquidity. Join us to accelerate your career in a culture defined by openness, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The role involves designing and building automated tooling and dashboards that support and enhance our trading operations, while ensuring processes run smoothly in practice. Operations plays a critical role in enabling growth – supporting new initiatives while ensuring processes remain robust, controlled, and resilient. The team safeguards the business against operational risk, while continuously improving how we operate.

You will work closely with traders, risk management, data engineers, software engineers, and legal & compliance to design, maintain, and continuously improve scalable operational processes. As an automation-first team, we combine strong technical capability with hands-on operational ownership – building workflows that run reliably with minimal manual intervention.

What Operations Aims To Achieve:

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and controlled execution of the full trade lifecycle across all products, supported by scalable processes and automation-first design.
  • Maintain robust operational controls and reconciliation frameworks, focusing on early detection, transparency, and resilience.
  • Provide real-time oversight of trading activity and systems, combining automated monitoring with hands-on intervention when required.
  • Continuously improve operational processes, reducing manual effort while strengthening control, data quality, and scalability.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage end-to-end trade lifecycle processes across cash equities, listed and OTC derivatives, and structured products.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash, investigating and resolving breaks in a timely manner.
  • Monitor trading activity and operational systems during market hours, ensuring stability and quick issue resolution.
  • Support transaction reporting processes and ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading, Tech, Risk, and Compliance to resolve issues and improve workflows.
  • Design and develop tooling, dashboards, and automated controls to support operational processes and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, and drive implementation in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Take ownership of processes end-to-end, ensuring they are well-designed and function reliably in day-to-day operations.

Who You Are:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in a data-driven or operations-focused role within equities, OTC and listed derivatives, or structured products.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, including clearing, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
  • Good understanding of structured products and their underlying futures and options is a strong plus.

How You Approach The Role:

  • You think in terms of systems and processes, not just tasks.
  • You combine an automation and engineering mindset with hands-on operational ownership.
  • You are comfortable intervening when needed, not relying solely on automation.
  • You aim to reduce complexity and manual effort, while strengthening control and transparency.
  • You take responsibility for outcomes, not just implementation.
  • You are able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.

What We Offer:

  • Challenge yourself. Be part of the dynamic work environment and grow along with us.
  • Develop yourself. Join internal and external learning & development opportunities to enhance your personal and professional growth.
  • Treat yourself. Enjoy subsidised healthy and delicious meals delivered by Alma Sustainable Catering.
  • Stay fit. Sports facility access via ClassPass.
  • Keep the spirit up. Fun activities with your teammates on a regular basis and Friday drinks.
  • Team up. A great office vibe in the heart of Amsterdam.
  • It’s on us. Travel costs reimbursement or a Swap-bike.
  • A competitive reward package including benefits and bonus scheme.
