About the Role

The Aave Companies are focused on innovation in Web3 and have cultivated a thriving, collaborative culture. We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher to derive meaningful, human‑centered insights that inspire great design using qualitative and quantitative research methods. The role will set the standard for research practices on the Aave design team, inform the product roadmap, and guide stakeholders on user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and continuously improve UX research practices within the design team.
  • Develop and execute research plans, selecting appropriate studies to target desired information.
  • Conduct qualitative research such as interviews, ethnographies, usability tests, heuristic evaluations, surveys, and market research.
  • Create personas, customer journeys, scenarios, and red routes based on findings.
  • Consult and collaborate with product development teams and present findings in written and verbal formats to stakeholders.
  • Translate research questions into actionable insights and synthesis reports.
  • Discover, interpret and communicate findings, insights, and opportunities with UX, UI and product teams.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with UX processes and user‑centered design practices.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research, including moderated/unmoderated testing and use of user testing platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present a clear rationale for design decisions.
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about crypto and decentralization with foundational knowledge of crypto products such as staking and DeFi.
  • Experience working in an Agile team (preferably Scrum).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4‑6 years of research experience focused on design research, integrating multiple methods.
